She was always shy, brushing her arm to his ever so gently

Hoping through all her friends, towards her the light would be shown
Envy bepaints her cheek, with each word he utters to her friends
She hopes it may soon end

Starting conversation each time she gets the chance
He looks through her, seeing only who he chooses
She's never seen, she always loses.

I walk down the halls,
people scream and shout,
and all I can think:
would someone get me out?
I like you a lot,
but then the next time,
I find that I care no more,
for you than a dime.
I did this or that,
but she said it how?
I never sad a word!
You mean lying cow!
And it goes on and on,
we're tortured for years,
three miserable grades,
to drown in our tears,
and do they try to help?
Yes of course, they try,
but do they at all?
They can't dry one eye.
It's Middle School for you,
nothing you can do,
but wait and watch,
as it pummels you.

A path leading left
Follows what you once knew

You hold your head high as you walk through the crowd
faking confidence.
Little can they see the hell beneath the skin
the internal struggle that you hold within.
you walk everyday with the smile on your face
pretending as if it is all together, lying that your ok
you never let people know that you're a shell
all you have is doubts, when it comes to yourself
You know your wings are broken,
But you can seem to mend,
you just ask to be left alone
pulling the sheets back over your head.
You lay in the darkness
you lay alone.
You wake in the morning
paint on the smile,
put that sparkle back in your eyes.
